Luisa Yu, Abigail Friedrich, and Dondon Bales are the Co-leaders of the global community of Filipino World Travelers.
Luisa Yu is the oldest Filipino to travel all the countries in the world when she completed the feat in November 2023 at age 79. Based in Miami, Florida in the US, Luisa is well connected in the American travel industry. For the last 20 years, she has been a member of the Travel Industry Association of Florida, having assumed the role of Vice-President for seven consecutive terms and, later, President for one term. Luisa won the 2022 NomadMania Most Positive Traveler Award.
Abigail Friedrich is a past president of a Junior Chamber International (JCI) chapter in the Philippines and she was awarded a JCI Senatorship, the highest honor for leadership and outstanding service to the organization. She is based in Vienna, Austria and is a valuable point of contact for members in Europe.
Dondon Bales is the founder of the global community of Filipino World Travelers. He authored the book "Galà: Adventures of the Most Well Traveled Filipinos". He is a NomadMania Executive Committee member who leads the sustainable travel initiatives and is a co-envoy for Australia. He was the Travelers’ Century Club coordinator for Sydney in 2015. He also co-founded a Philippine-based non-stock, non-profit Filipino travelers corporation established in 2021 where he served on the board of directors.
