On May 4, 2024, the Filipino World Travelers (FWT) held their first Global Virtual Meet-up via Zoom, bringing together 14 enthusiastic members for a lively two-hour session. The event was attended by FWT Co-leaders Luisa Yu, Abigail Friedrich, and Dondon Bales, as well as Founding Members Kaila de los Reyes, Wyatt Bedural, George Esguerra, Daniel Rupinta, Jayson Bucsit, Abi Bucsit, Cece Bucsit, Kim Nieva, and Dennis Teodoro. Affiliates Rolmar Baldonado and Josephine Llorca also joined the call.
The meet-up provided a fantastic opportunity for attendees to connect with fellow adventurers, share their experiences, and learn new tips. One of the highlights was hearing from Co-leader Luisa Yu, who shared her inspiring journey of traveling to every country in the world, completing her quest in Serbia in November 2023. Her story motivated everyone and underscored the endless possibilities that travel offers.
