Filipino World Travelers Founder Dondon Bales visited Copenhagen, where he was invited by Cafe Globen, Denmark's only travel café run as a volunteer project by Danish globetrotters, to give a presentation about Exploring the Best of the Philippines based on his book Galà. On November 30, 2023, Dondon delivered a captivating talk on the Top 20 favorite Philippine destinations highlighting insights from the most well-traveled Filipinos. He also talked about the new ‘Travel Philippines’ mobile app from the Tourism Promotions Board Philippines.
The event was attended by notable Danish travelers, including Thor Pederson and Nomadmania Executive Committee Chairman Mette Ehlers Mikkelsen. The audience was enthralled by Dondon's presentation, which showcased the beauty and diversity of the Philippines through the eyes of seasoned travelers.
During his visit, Dondon also had the opportunity to meet with FWT Founding Member Roy Baja and other Filipinos interested in joining the group. The meet-up was a wonderful occasion to connect with fellow travel enthusiasts and inspire more Filipinos to explore the world and share their travel experiences.
