In early December 2024, Filipino World Travelers (FWT) organized a series of vibrant meet-ups in New York City. These gatherings took place at iconic locations like Bryant Park, Times Square, Sarabeth's restaurant, and the Rose Bar at Gramercy Park Hotel.
Founding Members Jocelyn Bernal, Dorie Legaspi, Phillip Ozaki, and Wes Verzosa, along with Affiliate Stevenson Van Derordar, led the meet-ups as they are joined by FWT Founder Dondon Bales. These events provided FWT members with fantastic opportunities to connect with members from other travel communities such as Nomadmania, Every Passport Stamp, Off the Beaten Track, and JCI Philippine-New York.
Each meet-up was filled with engaging conversations, shared travel experiences, and a sense of camaraderie. Whether enjoying a meal at Sarabeth's or sipping cocktails at the Rose Bar, the FWT community bonded over their shared love for adventure. These NYC meet-ups highlighted the vibrant, ever-growing network of Filipino travelers, fostering connections and inspiring future journeys.
