On May 30 to June 2, 2024, Henna Fuller, Founding Member of Filipino World Travelers, attended the Travelers' Century Club (TCC) International Conference in the Azores, Portugal. The TCC is an exclusive club for those who have visited 100 countries and territories, and it hosts a global conference for its members every two years. In the photo, Henna is seen with fellow conference participant Pauline Frommer, whose father founded Frommer’s Travel Guide Books.
Henna, along with her husband Steven Fuller, who was the 2022-2023 TCC President and is a current member of the TCC Executive Board, enjoyed walking tours in Ponta Delgada, a sightseeing trip to Sete Cidades, and a panoramic tour of the south side of the island toward Furnas Valley.
For Henna, the event was a fantastic opportunity to reunite with fellow travelers from around the world and check the Azores off her bucket list. This experience has provided great inspiration for her current project, "The Travel Luggage Book," a collection of travel stories. Henna's participation in the TCC International Conference underscores the growing presence of Filipino World Travelers (FWT) in the global travel scene. Out of the 55 FWT Founding Members, 11 people are already TCC members or eligible for TCC membership which accounts for 20% of the organization: Luisa Yu, Kach Umandap, Herm Javellana, Dondon Bales, Pia Montemayor, Marco Avanzado, Salvador Casipit, Gratzel Redoble, Henna Fuller, Wyatt Bedural, and Kaila de los Reyes. There are also 6 FWT Affiliates who are eligible for TCC membership: Jazmin Gaite, Avegail Kultsar, Lloyd Salac, Denden Pilones, Auie Alipoon, and Joseph Lim Jr.
