On June 30, 2024, FWT Affiliates Jason Cordi and Marjorie Mojica, along with founder Dondon Bales, visited the Philippine Grand Fiesta at the Queen Victoria Market in Melbourne, Australia. This event was part of the commemoration of the 126th anniversary of Philippine Independence Day, observed in the month of June.
The day was filled with joy and cultural pride, featuring vibrant song and dance performances, a lively parade, and delicious Filipino cuisine. Families gathered to celebrate and keep the Filipino culture alive, creating a warm and festive atmosphere. The event also featured various booths catering to the Filipino community. Notably, the Australian-Filipino Community Services had a booth dedicated to a charity appeal supporting Filipino senior citizens living with dementia in the Philippines. This heartfelt initiative added a meaningful touch to the celebration, showcasing the community's commitment to supporting one another and preserving their cultural heritage.
